Multiple projects to repair area roads are scheduled to begin next week and cause lane closures along stretches of Interstates 95 and 83, Route 32 and Loch Raven Boulevard.
Interstate 95: The Maryland Transportation Authority will begin a three-month project Sunday to install new steel expansion joints and replace portions of the concrete deck of the southbound Interstate 95 bridge over Desoto Road.
Between one and three lanes of I-95 south will be closed, as will the Washington Boulevard entrance ramp, between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. Friday through Saturday.
Steel plates will be placed on the roadway. Lane closures may also occur on Desoto Road.
Interstate 83: Between now and Memorial Day, the State Highway Administration will be working at night patching the roadway of Interstate 83 between Interstate 695 and Shawan Road in Baltimore County.
Lane closures may occur between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
The SHA is also working during the day to patch the roadway of I-83 between Shawan Road and the bridge over Quaker Bottom Road.
Lane closures may occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Route 32: Between now and June, the State Highway Administration will be resurfacing more than two miles of Route 32 between Routes 198 and 175 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Speed limits will be reduced and driving lanes will be narrowed.
Route 542 (Loch Raven Boulevard): Beginning Sunday, the State Highway Administration will be milling northbound Loch Raven Boulevard between the Baltimore City line and Taylor Avenue in Baltimore County.
One lane will be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday until the work is completed. That date is undetermined and depends on weather.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
