A former assistant manager at a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration office is accused of stealing nearly $90,000 from the agency.
Attorneys in the case say 52-two-year-old Joann Fleishell of Thurmont is expected to go to trial this fall.
Court documents show she was indicted in April on a theft scheme charge. She's accused of stealing $87,681 from the MVA between January 2007 and October 2008, while she was working as an assistant manager at the Frederick branch.
Fleishell was fired from the MVA in 2009, and court documents show she sued the agency, unsuccessfully, for wrongful termination.
