Major General James A. Adkins

Major General James A. Adkins, the commander of the Maryland National Guard, is searching for the graves of the fallen members of the Maryland 400, the Revolutionary soldiers whose rear guard action during the Battle of Brooklyn enabled George Washington to retreat from New York and made Maryland the Old Line State. He is pictured at the Louis G. Smith Armory in Easton.
