Gusty, chilly conditions were forecast for the Baltmore area into Sunday, after scattered rain mixed with sleet and flurries in northern and western areas overnight.
Sunday is expected to be sunny and windy with a high near 46. Winds of 25 to 29 miles could gust as high as 49 mph, a spokesman for the service said.
After a cold front passed through the region Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service called for a low in the mid 30s overnight, with winds of about 15 miles per hour and gusts of up to 41 mph.
An NWS spokesman there had been reports of mixed rain and sleet in various places in Harford and Carroll counties, and one emailer in northern Baltimore County reported seeing snowflakes. But no accumulation had been reported and none was expected.
