Police said a woman was found unconscious but breathing and was taken to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. However, Baltimore County Firefighter Dana Camak said two victims were transported, but the type and extent of their injuries weren't immediately known.
Two dogs also died in the blaze, though a third survived.
The fire broke out at 5:45 p.m. in one of four rowhouses in the 200 block of St. Helena Avenue. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the buildings were fully engulfed. All four homes suffered significant damge before flames were brought under control, Camak said. The cause of the blaze is unknown, but the county's arson unit is investigating, he said.
About 20 pieces of equipment and more than 50 firefighters battled the blaze. A damage estimate wasn't immediately available.
