15-year-old among two fatally shot Saturday in West Baltimore

A 20-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were shot and killed Saturday afternoon in West Baltimore

A 15-year-old boy is among two males fatally shot Saturday afternoon in the Bridgeview-Greenlawn neighborhood of West Baltimore, police said.

Officers were called about 1:40 p.m. to the corner of West Lafayette Avenue and North Bentalou Street and found the two men, police said. Investigators said the victims were sitting inside a car when they were shot.

On Sunday, police identified the victims as Anthony Daniels, 20, of the 1100 block of Stricker Street, and Quindell Ford, 15, of the 1300 block of N. Carey Street.

A cashier at a nearby corner store said the shots sounded like firecrackers.

Gina Harcum, who works at the Raven Mart at the corner, glanced outside the store and saw a green Honda at the curb, with bullet holes in its front window.

"I just ran to the back of the store and called 911," Harcum said.

The men were taken to the hospital where they died, police said.

"It was peaceful out here. People just walking by," Harcum said.

She watched homicide detectives inspect the green Honda, the dark-tinted windows and bullet holes.

"I didn't even see the person in the car," she said, "until after they pulled him out."
