City police looking to identify person riding dirt bike with child

Baltimore police are attempting to identify a person who was recorded in East Baltimore riding on a dirt bike with a child.

Police released a video Friday, asking for the public's help identifying the suspect.

The 46-second video shows the suspect with a pack of a dozen riders at the intersection of Aisquith Street and North Avenue, riding with a helmet-clad child. The video is undated.

Anyone with information is asked to call 443-902-4474.

Riding a dirt bike on city streets is illegal.

The department launched a dirt bike task force last summer to crack down on the proliferation of riders. Besides being a dangerous nuisance, police say the riders have links to other crimes, such as destruction of property and gun offenses. The task force also is charged with seizing bikes they find.
