Westbound traffic from Eastern Shore heavy, but no major delays

Marylanders seemed in no hurry Monday to end the three-day Memorial Day weekend.

As of 5:30 p.m., westbound traffic to the Bay Bridge was backed up to exit 39 for just 2.5 miles — a far cry from rush hour Friday, when the line of cars bumper-to-bumper stretched for 18 miles.

Traffic on U.S. 50 was experiencing slow-downs and rolling delays 5 miles from the Queenstown Outlet Center and 6 miles from Maryland Highway 662.
