Seven injured in separate car crashes in Anne Arundel Co.

Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating three separate car accidents Friday and early Saturday in Annapolis, Glen Burnie and Pasadena that left seven people hospitalized, according to authorities.

The first occurred on Friday about 5:30 p.m. at East College Parkway and Revell Downs Road in Annapolis. Police said two cars collided at the intersection, and the female driver of one of the vehicles suffered serious head injuries. She was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in serious condition.

About 7:15 p.m. Friday, police said two cars collided near Shetlands Lane in Glen Burnie. A passenger in one of the cars also suffered serious head injuries, police said, and was taken to Shock Trauma. The victim's condition was not immediately released.

Police said about 12:10 a.m. Saturday, police said a Nissan Maxima struck a tree near Ridge Road and Stoney Creek in Pasadena. The 18-year-old male driver, two 18-year-old and two 17-year-old passengers were all taken to Shock Trauma and listed in serious condition.

Anne Arundel County police said all the accidents remain under investigation and no further details were available on Saturday.
