Police identify motorcyclist critically injured in Davidsonville crash

A 30-year-old Edgewater man was critically injured after a car collided with his motorcycle in Davidsonville, Anne Arundel County police said. Two people inside the car were also injured.

The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. near the intersection of Davidsonville Road and Governor Bridge Road when a Toyota Avalon failed to yield to the Harley motorcycle, police said.

The motorcyclist, Timothy Joseph Humphrey, was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. Two people inside of the car — Peggy Armstead Minnis, 66, and Frederick G. Minnis, 69, of Bowie — were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not expected to be life threatening, police said.
