Towson University students robbed at gunpoint in off-campus home invasion

Two Towson University students were robbed at gunpoint in their off-campus apartment late Sunday night, Baltimore County Police said.

According to Cpl. Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman, the two students were sitting in their shared apartment in the 200 block of Donnybrook Lane at 11:03 p.m. Sunday when two men walked in through the unlocked front door.

The roommates said one of the men pointed a shotgun at them, and the robbers left the apartment with a cell phone, an Xbox 360, and a Playstation 3, police said.

Batton said one of the suspects is a black male between 18-25, 6 feet 1, with a medium build, dark complexion, and short black hair. The second suspect is also a black male, 18-25, about 5-9, with a medium build, dark complexion, and short hair.

Batton said the incident “is being fully investigated by detectives at the Towson precinct.” In addition to increased patrols in the Donnybrook community, the precinct’s off-campus enforcement unit also routinely patrols the area, Batton said.
