Five officers from Freddie Gray case face internal discipline

Towson police investigating report of sexual assault

Baltimore County police said Thursday afternoon that detectives "are in the early stages of an investigation involving a possible sexual assault" near downtown Towson

Cpl. John Wachter, a police spokesman, said that around 4:23 a.m. Thursday, May 24, officers responded to a house in the unit block of York Road at Burke Avenue, where the reported assault took place inside of a home.

Police ask that anyone who saw a bald black male in his 30s, 5-foot-10 with a medium build in that area early this morning to call 410-307-2020 to provide information.

The investigation is ongoing, and Wachter said detectives are actively working the case.
