Saturday at 7 p.m., Towson University is taking on LSU in the first time ever in college football, with Tigers v. Tigers in Baton Rouge, La.
This is Towson’s first-ever game against a Southeastern Conference opponent.
The game will be televised at ESPNU.
However, according to TU Athletics Media Relations , Towson is taking on its second FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) opponent of the season. Earlier in the season, Towson played at Kent State and lost to the Golden Flashes, 41-21.
In that game, though, the Tigers outgained Kent State, 316 to 247 yards; and the 20-point margin was the closest difference in a game against an FBS opponent in Towson’s five-game history.
In its last game, on Sept. 22 Towson defeated St. Francis (Pa.), 46-17.
In its last game, the No. 3 ranked LSU beat Auburn, 12-10, also on Sept. 22.
