Man injured as Towson fire truck collides with car on Osler Drive

A hook and ladder truck from the Baltimore County Fire Department No. 1, in Towson, was involved in an accident on Monday afternoon.

The truck was on its way to a call June 4 when it collided with another vehicle on Osler Drive, sending the driver of the vehicle to the hospital, county emergency services spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Fehrer said.

Rogers-Fehrer said the fire engine was driving in the left lane near the corner of Osler Drive and Auburn Drive at 2:27 p.m. when the driver of a red Mitsubishi Mirage made a U-turn from the right lane and was struck by the truck.

Rogers-Fehrer said the driver of the vehicle was conscious, but needed to be extricated and was taken to Sinai hospital. No additional details were immediately available.
