New exhibit and new digs for Towson Arts Collective

The Towson Arts Collective will unveil its fifth anniversary exhibition, "Emerge/Reemerge," with an opening reception on Friday, June 8, 6 to 8 p.m., at the new Artbox Gallery at 40 W. Chesapeake Ave., Towson.

On Friday, artists involved with the show will be present at the reception. The exhibit includes works from artists such as T. W. Dixon, Jordan Thompson and David Knopp.

The show runs June 8 to July 27, and the exhibit is judged by Jordan Faye Block, artist and gallery owner.

The name of the show reflects, in part, that TAC has reemerged from its 5-year-old underground gallery on York Road into a light-filled space. The mission of the Towson Arts Collective is to provide a venue for artists while being an art education center.

The gallery is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m., and by appointment.
