Café Troia in Towson will host a kick-off event on Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. to launch the Baltimore County Summer Restaurant Week, running Aug. 10-19.
The week is being sponsored by the Baltimore County Office of Tourism and Promotion and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.
More than 35 participating restaurants across the county will take part in the event, and will feature special menus at a discounted fixed price, offering one- to three-course lunch and dinner specials ranging from $10.12 to $35.12.
County Chamber President Keith Scott will attend the event at Cafe Troia, 31 Allegheny Ave., and will encourage residents and visitors to dine out and patronize local restaurants.
Several participating restaurants will serve samples of their Restaurant Week fare at the kick-off event.
