Nine Towson eateries headline county's winter restaurant week

Nine Towson restaurants are participating in Baltimore County Restaurant Week, a two-week promotion that began Jan. 11 and continues through Jan. 27.

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz hosted a kickoff event at Patrick's of Cockeysville, located at 550 Cranbrook Road, on Jan. 10.

During the winter edition of Restaurant Week, diners can enjoy a selection of discounted meals from a prix fixe menu at 43 Baltimore County restaurants.

In Towson, Cafe Troia, Towson Tavern, Charles Village Pub, 7West Bistro, Havana Road Cuban Cafe, and the Melting Pot are all return participants from last summer's edition of restaurant week. McFaul's Ironhorse Tavern, The University Club at Towson, and S&J Crab Ranch are new participants in Towson.

Other local restaurants include Timonium restaurants Basta Pasta, Bluestone, Christopher Daniel, Liberatore's, Michael's Cafe, and Tark Grill; Kooper's North, Il Basilico Trattoria Italiana, and The Peppermill of Lutherville; The Oregon Grille and Patrick's of Cockeysville; and Hunt Valley's Yasou Greek Bistro and Barrett's Grill.

Participating restaurants will serve up one- to three-course lunch and dinner selections, priced between $10.13 and $35.13.

According to a Baltimore County press release, over 1500 diners made online reservations on OpenTable.com, a 53-percent increase from the same period the previous summer.
