NBAC swimmer transported to hospital; 'advanced life support measures' performed

A young male swimmer from the North Baltimore Aquatic Club was transported from Meadowbrook to Sinai Hospital Sunday morning as paramedics performed "advanced life support measures," according to Baltimore City Fire spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright.

Speaking on Sunday evening, Cartwright said paramedics were dispatched around 10 a.m. that morning and arrived to find a lifeguard performing CPR on the swimmer.

After treatment was administered at the scene, emergency personnel continued advanced life support measures on the way to Sinai Hospital.

Fire officials could not confirm the condition of the swimmer as of Sunday evening.
