Hancock takes up residence at Towson home loan company

Mortgage lender Embrace Home Loans recently announced the hiring of Laura Hancock as a senior loan officer in its Towson office.

Hancock has more than 15 years of experience in home lending. She most recently worked at Wells Fargo, where she recorded highest purchase volume in the company.

Towson resident lands position at Baltimore-based PR firm

Profiles Inc., a Baltimore-based public relations, marketing and special events firm, recently hired Towson resident Christina Camba as junior account executive.

Camba previously worked at South Moon Under, where she served as marketing director.

She graduated from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in public relations and integrated communications. While in school, Camba interned at the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation, where she coordinated, promoted and executed several foundation summer events.

Local companies serve up members of restaurant board

Several local companies involved in the restaurant industry were among those with members named recently to the board of directors of the Restaurant Association of Maryland for the coming year.

The new board was elected at the group's annual membership meeting in June.

New directors with local ties include Carole Brosso of Patrick's Restaurant, Cockeysville; Brian Pfeifer of Payce, in Towson; and Jerry Blumenthal, of the company Business and Commercial Ventures, of Lutherville.

Each was elected to a three-year term.

Steve Smith of Chesapeake Hospitality Inc., in Greenbelt, was elected to serve as chairman of the board.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland is a statewide trade association operated to promote, protect and improve the food service industry in Maryland.
