Man assaulted, robbed after leaving Towson hookah lounge

An 18-year-old man was assaulted and robbed outside a hookah lounge in downtown Towson early Sunday morning, Baltimore County Police said.

According to police, the man was leaving when Towson Nights Hookah Lounge in the unit block of Allegheny Avenue between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday when three men approached him in the parking lot across the street.

One of the men put the victim in a headlock while the other two men took cash and a cell phone from the victim’s pockets. The robbers hit the man they robbed in the face two times, police said.

Cpl. John Wachter, a spokesman for the county police department, said the man flagged down police at a nearby Royal Farms store after the assault.

Police said the man who was assaulted refused treatment.

No suspect information was available, Wachter said.
