Baltimore County Police and the Maryland State Police will be enforcing drunk driving laws with a DUI saturation patrol in Towson and Timonium this weekend.
Police said that between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. on April 18, 19, and 20, officers will be looking for drivers under the influence of drugs and alcohol on major roads in the Towson and Timonium area.
These details are one part of a comprehensive strategy to prevent drivers from operating motor vehicles while under the incluence of alcohol or drugs, promote community education, and ensure enforcement of laws to reduce the number of alcohol-involved crashes," Baltimore County Police said in a statement.
The patrols coincide with Towson University's Tigerfest, an annual spring concert that draws visitors from all over the area. Tigerfest will be held Friday, April 19 at Towson's Johnny Unitas Stadium.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
