Man robs another man of cellphone at Towson bus stop [Towson Crime Log]

A man was robbed of his cell phone while waiting at a Towson bus stop, a police report states. According to the report, a man walked up to another man at York and Yorkleigh roads at 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 22 and asked if he could use his cell phone. The man with the phone said no and turned away from the other man. The man then tapped the man with the phone on the shoulder and the man told police he saw a gun. The robber took phone and fled on foot toward Baltimore.


Wardman Road, 7000 block, between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 22. Person forced open basement door of home, stole jewelry.

Danforth Court, unit block, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:35 a.m. Sept. 22. Two men met while walking through apartment complex, went to one of the men's apartment to socialize. Host asked man to leave, and man pulled knife and threatened to kill host. Nelson Abalos Asmen, 30, arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and trespassing.

Hillen Road, 600 block, between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Person entered through unlocked door, stole Xbox, controllers, video games, stereo, crystal decanter from house.

Cromwell Bridge Road, 2200 block, between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Person stole two table saws from barn.

Ensor Avenue, unit block, between 12 a.m. Sept. 16 and 12:55 a.m. Sept. 16. Man who had car towed by Pollard's Towing went to tow yard, tried to drive through gate of yard.

Naturo Road, 1600 block, at 1:19 p.m. Sept. 16. Person opened cellar doors to house, no entry gained.


Lake Ridge Place, unit block, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sept. 19. Person entered apartment, stole cash, tablet, Kindle Fire. No sign of forced entry.

Western Run Road, 2000 block, between 4 p.m. Sept. 17 and 7:50 a.m. Sept. 19. Person kicked in front door, stole Dewalt tools.

Cranbrook Road and Pepperwood Road, at 8:39 p.m. Sept. 17. Man approached another man, took iPhone, headphones, cigarettes.

Shawan Road, unit block, at 12:17 a.m. Sept. 16. Five laptops and docking stations stolen from State Farm Insurance office.

Stanwick Road, 2400 block, at 4:22 a.m. Sept. 16. Person broke into three vehicles, stole gift cards, laptop, external hard drive.

Lake Ridge Place, unit block, between 7 p.m. Sept. 16 and 8 p.m. Sept. 17. Person entered apartment, stole wallet.

Williamson Lane, 10800 block, between 6 p.m. Sept. 13 and 3 p.m. Sept. 16. Person cut fence to landscaping company's yard, stole 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel.


Sandee Road, 200 block, between 8 a.m. Sept. 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. Person entered house through sliding glass door, stole gun safe, jewelry and TV.

Railroad Avenue, 1400 block, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 9. Laser range meter stolen.


Thelma Street, Rose Street, unit block, at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 21. Officers dispatched to call for suspicious person walking through yard found man with two GPS units missing from two locations. John Edward Selvey, 26, arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.

Eastridge Road, 2100 block, at 12:44 p.m. Sept. 17. Woman heard man trying to break into basement, observed man fleeing from yard.

East Ridgely Road, 100 block, between Sept. 1 and 8:13 p.m. Sept. 12. Person spray-painted swastika on wall at Ridgley Middle School.
