Towson Crime Log: Two generators stolen from houses in wake of storm

Baltimore County Police are reporting that a pair of generators were stolen from houses in the Towson area in the aftermath of this past weekend's storm.

Both incidents occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 1.

The first was in the 200 block of Gaywood Road, at 2:45 a.m. July 1, when a generator stolen from the owner's backyard.

Then at 3:14 a.m. in the 6300 block of Pinehurst Road, another generator stolen from rear deck of house, police said.

In addition to that incident, the following items were compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.


York Road, 800 block, at 1:56 a.m. July 1. Baltimore County Police report that a man entered Exxon store, asked for Black & Mild cigars. He then jumped counter, pointed blue steel semi-automatic handgun at cashier and pulled him to the floor in front of cash drawer, according to the police report. Cashier gave man $700, and thief fled on foot.

Northfield Place, 300 block, between midnight and 3:45 a.m. June 30. A 2007 Honda Odyssey van that had been reported stolen was found on side of West Joppa Road at Bellona Avenue. A woman found in the vehicle was arrested.

North Charles Street, 6200 block, between 6 p.m. June 30 and 7:45 a.m. July 1. Thieves broke into 7-Eleven, and took $280 from registers. Attempts were made to access safe and ATM, but both were unsuccessful.

Ruxton Crossing, 8200 block, between 12:30 a.m. June 29 and 6:30 a.m. June 30. Silver 2010 Toyota Corolla, Maryland tag number 5AF0783, stolen from driveway.

Clarkview Road, 1400 block, 11:23 a.m. June 29. Purse taken from car at Barehills Racket Club. Thieves broke passenger window to steal purse containing three pairs of sunglasses, wallet, Tiffany gift card and pearl earrings.

Ivywood Lane, 1100 block, between 9 p.m. June 27 and 5 p.m. June 28. Diamondback Vital mountain bike stolen from second floor balcony.

East Joppa Road, 200 block, between 2:30 p.m. June 26 and 8:30 a.m. June 27. Two 8-foot copper downspouts stolen from location.

Altura Court, unit block, between 9:15 and 11:45 p.m. June 25. A 2003 Cadillac DeVille, Maryland tag number 3AM5169, stolen from parking lot.

Ware Avenue, 200 block, between 9:21 p.m. June 21 and 5 a.m. June 22. Copper downspouts stolen from the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Gleneagles Court, 800 block, sometime between Feb. 7 and 1 p.m. June 15. Lawn equipment, wire, coolers, bed sets and car parts stolen from storage locker.


Weil Mandel Way, 700 block, between 12:01 a.m. June 22 and 8 p.m. June 29. Copper wiring removed from air conditioner unit at vacant house for sale.

Williamson Lane, 10800 block, between 4 p.m. June 26 and 4 a.m. June 27. Four rims and tires stolen from Banner Striping and Seal Coating lot. Entry gained by cutting hole in fence.

Windy Falls Way, unit block, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 26. Coins stolen from six laundry machines.
