Water dept. imposters strike in Towson [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.


Lakeview Road, 6000 block, at 6:07 p.m. June 15. Man entered home without permission. Homeowner did not press charges.

Edgewood Road, 100 block, at 10:19 p.m. June 15. Basement window broken at home. No entry gained.

Campbell Lane, 400 block, before 9 a.m. June 15. Gray Huffy bike stolen from open garage.

Southerly Road, 900 block, between 4:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. June 14. Playstation 3 stolen from apartment.

Riverdale Road, 1200 block, between noon and 12:30 p.m. June 14. Two men robbed elderly woman's home of jewelry after claiming to be from water department.

Goucher Boulevard, 600 block, at 12:30 p.m. June 14. Teenage boy seen trying to push air conditioning unit into window. No entry gained.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8800 block, between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. June 14. Burglar stole wallet from room at Comfort Inn.

Meadow Road, unit block, between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. June 13. Unsuccessful attempt made to pry open door.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8600 block, between 3 p.m. June 13 and 7 a.m. June 14. Burglar broke window, stole typewriter from Loch Raven Baptist Church.

Overbrook Road, 700 block, between 7:05 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 11. Burglar broke into house through rear kitchen glass door, stole jewelry.


Cranbrook Road, 600 block, at 10 p.m. Man grabbed teenage girl from behind, covered her mouth, demanded money. After learning the girl had no money, the assailant threw the girl to ground and fled.


East Padonia Road, unit block, between 10:30 a.m. and 10:35 a.m. June 12. Woman spotted trying to remove screen to bedroom window.

Hartfell Road, 2400 block, between 11 p.m. June 12 and 8:30 a.m. June 13. Burglar broke car window with rock, stole gym bag containing swim gear.

Eastridge Road, 2400 block, between 10:30 p.m. June 12 and 3:41 p.m. June 14. Husky generator stolen from open garage door.


Shady Brook Court, unit block, between June 11 and 7:05 a.m. June 16. Key under doormat stolen. Resident thought he heard person enter house twice.
