Home repair scammers steal jewelry from elderly Towson woman [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

A man came to the door of an elderly woman in the 7000 block of Charles Ridge Road at 3 p.m. on May 29 and told her he was there to do home repairs.While the man talked to the woman, a second man entered the house and stole jewelry.


Gateshead Road, 1300 block, at 1 a.m. June 2. Man and woman intruders seen inside pool area.

Osler Drive, 7600 block, at 11:45 a.m. May 29. Woman brought 35-year-old son to St. Joseph's Hospital for emergency evaluation. Man jumped fence, attempted to climb smoke stack and jumped off building. Man was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Queens Ferry Road, 6800 block, between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. May 29. Someone entered unlocked apartment, stole Samsung Galaxy cellphone.

Dowling Circle, unit block, at 9:11 a.m. May 28. Man observed trying to pry open apartment door while woman was inside. Eugene Boikai, 46, of 2800 block of Beechland Road 21214, arrested and charged with first- and third-degree burglary. Female tenant had protective order against Boikai, her husband.

Queens Ferry Road, 6800 block, between 3 p.m. May 26 and 7 a.m. May 27. Someone entered unlocked apartment, stole Sony Vaio laptop and charger.


Cinder Road, unit block, at 7:48 p.m. May 27. Two men stole red Little Tykes car from yard of foreclosed home. Jonathan Michael Argento, 30, and Amie Lynn Argento, 35, both of the unit block of Kathsway Court, Parkville, arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.


Malcolm Circle, 10300 block, at 3:15 p.m. Man tried to buy ounce of marijuana. Dealer punched man in face, stole cash.
