Man stopped on traffic violation charged with Towson mall robbery [Towson crime log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

A man was arrested and charged on May 27 with robbery of a woman getting into her car in the parking garage near Macy's in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road, police reports state. According to police, at around 10 a.m., the man pointed a BB gun, which looked like a Beretta handgun, at the woman and demanded cash, her cellphone and car key. When the robber was later stopped for an unrelated traffic offense, the police officer confirmed the man's connection to the robbery and arrested the man, police report.


Goucher Boulevard, 600 block, between noon May 29 and 11:38 a.m. May 30. Glass in rear door broken by intruder; no items reported missing.

Southwick Drive, 600 block, 6:18 a.m. May 31. Two men, one with handgun, robbed Royal Farms of cash from safe and registers.

Lennox Avenue, 300 block, 9:05 p.m. May 28. Man and juvenile male arrested and charged with fourth-degree residential burglary after seen stealing two bikes from victim's porch. Homeowner chased males on his bike while reporting direction of travel, and the two were later apprehended.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8800 block, 10:10 p.m. May 28. Two men, with a third in a nearby car, robbed Middle River man at knifepoint. Victim reported knowing one of man but not the others. Men escaped in gold 2001 Audi.

York Road, 6400 block, 7:15 p.m. May 29. Three men assaulted pedestrian on his way home behind shopping center. Nothing stolen.

Walker Avenue, 600 block, 1 p.m. May 28. Seven men entered unlocked apartment. Two residents, who were at home, confronted intruders. One resident was assaulted and both had cellphones stolen.

Danforth Court, unit block, 11:55 p.m. May 26. Homeowner reported seeing man knocking at her sliding glass door and looking in. No entry gained.

Washington Avenue, 200 block, between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. May 27. iPad stolen from unlocked apartment.

Joppa Road, 1600 block, 5:13 a.m. May 26. Two men wearing ski masks, one carrying single barrel rifle, entered Royal Farms store and demanded that manager open safe. Customer pulled into parking lot and would-be robbers fled.

Stevenson Lane, 1100 block, between 7 p.m. May 25 and 5:30 a.m. May 26. Racial slurs were painted on putting green and lawn equipment at Country Club of Maryland. Trailer was also vandalized with graffiti.


Old Lyme Court, unit block, between 10:30 p.m. May 22 and 6 a.m. May 23. Rear door of residence was forced open; cash was stolen.


Tally Ho Road, 8200 block, 10:30 a.m. May 24. Two arrested after being seen in backyard of residence. Side window was broken and one suspect was caught outside of house. Second suspect was apprehended inside residence. Cash and computer accessories were among items reported stolen.

Lambeth Bridge Court, unit block, between 6:30 p.m. May 21 and 8 a.m. May 22. Three vehicles were broken into.

Alexander Chase, unit block, between 9 a.m. May 20 and 11:30 a.m. May 21. Gray 2008 Honda Civic with Florida tags was reported stolen.
