Woman steals iPhone, bites victim and flees in Towson [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

Baltimore County Police report that at about 10 p.m. on March 11, a woman pushed a female friend to the ground at the corner of Hillsway Avenue and Perring Parkway in Towson. The assailant then stole the woman's iPhone from her purse, bit the woman and then ran away.


Jeffers Road, 1600 block, between 5:30 p.m. March 16 and 12 p.m. March 17. Power tools and construction materials stolen from Tanner & Son's Construction Co.

Greenway Road, 8400 block, between 8:30 p.m. March 15 and 7:30 a.m. March 16. Gray 2004 Nissan Altima, Maryland registration 1AP2016, stolen.

Dunkirk Road, 300 block, between 10:30 p.m. March 15 and 7:30 a.m. March 16. Acura TL, Maryland registration A2103, stolen.

York Road, 7700 block, between 9 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. March 13. House ransacked after two side doors broken to gain entry. No items reported missing.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8400 block, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. March 10. Black 1998 Toyota Camry, Maryland registration 5ATP29, stolen from front of Babcock Presbyterian Church.


Pot Spring Road, 1800 block, at 9 a.m. March 15. Man entered Hair Envy salon, said he had a gun, demanded money. Man took money in bank bag. Witness identified vehicle. Charles Francis Wheeler Jr., 44, of the 3900 block of Hunt Harbor Road, 21220, arrested and charged with armed robbery.


Castle Bar Court and Rutledge Road, at 1:23 a.m. March 13. Man assaulted woman, took cell phone and purse, and pulled woman out of car onto street. Man then threw items from car. Warrant issued for woman's ex-boyfriend.

Cranbrook Road and Sorely Road, between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. March 13. Three men attacked man who was walking home, stole cash and fled.

Sunny Lake Place, 1200 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. March 13. Dell laptop, jewelry, Sony radio stolen from house.
