In Towson, jewelry gone, Jack Daniel's found [Towson Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

Jewelry was stolen after a basement window was smashed to gain entry to a home in the 1600 block of Hardwick Road, in Towson where police also found a bottle of Jack Daniels's Tennessee Honey in the backyard, police report. The incident was reported to have occurred between 4 p.m., Feb. 15 and 8:30 p.m., on Feb. 17, police report.


Dunkirk Road, 500 block, between 12 p.m. Feb. 22 and 12 p.m. Feb. 23. Person entered unlocked shed in yard, stole case containing DeWalt impact driver and drill.

Putty Hill Avenue, 1400 block, between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 15. Person smashed basement window, stole two bottles of liquor.

Washington Avenue, 300 block, between 4:45 p.m. Feb. 14 and 7 a.m. Feb. 17. Person pried open office door, smashed glass door with piece of rusty pipe, stole Dell laptop.


York Road, 11000 block, at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 22. Woman stole daily deposit from Arby's, created false report to deceive police. No charges filed.

Stag Horn Court, unit block, at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 17. Two men attempted to break into apartment, fled when neighbor opened door.


Belfast Road, unit block, at 9:43 a.m. Feb. 19. Police were serving serving a warrant for unauthorized use, theft, identity theft, credit card misuse when man attempted to ram police cruiser while fleeing. Police could not pursue man due to weather conditions.

Francke Avenue, 1400 block, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 19. Person broke window on rear door to gain entry to house, then stole cash, jewelry, camera.

Pot Spring Road, 2500 block, between 12 p.m. Dec. 1 and 11:45 a.m. Feb. 18. Woman discovered bracelet, cash missing from room at Mercy Ridge. Security footage saw man entering room on Jan. 31.


Breezy Hill Court, unit block, between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 22. Person entered apartment through window, stole PS4 from living room.
