Tank of used cooking oil for biofuels missing from Goucher College [Towson Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

Seven hundred gallons of used cooking oil was missing from a tank at Goucher College when a truck from Greenlight Biofuels arrived Jan. 16 to pick up the oil for conversion to biofuels, police report. The Greenlight Biofuels driver found the padlock to the secure container had been cut and oil had been pumped from the tank at the college located in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road, sometime between Nov. 25 and Jan. 16, police reports state.


East Joppa Road, 1500 block, between 1 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Jan. 29. Person entered Monro Muffler through front garage door panel, stole cash from register.

West Gypsy Lane, 1100 block, between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27. Person entered unlocked rear sliding door, stole laptop from kitchen table.

East Joppa Road, 200 block, between 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27 and 7 p.m. Jan. 28. Person entered apartment by unknown means, stole clothing from closet.


East Padonia Road, 100 block, between 12 a.m. Jan. 26 and 11:30 a.m. Jan. 28. Person broke basement window, stole Xbox 360, Playstation 3.


York Road, 2300 block, at 2 p.m. Jan. 26. Officers responded to burglary in progress at PHDFix Computer and Cellphone Repair. Officers recovered several cellphones, iPad minis. Donovan D'Angelo Taylor, 19, of the 3900 block of Penhurst Avenue, Baltimore, and Antonio O'Neal Flythe Jr., 19, of the 2900 block of Round Road, Baltimore, arrested and charged with burglary.

Belfast Road, unit block, between 2 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7 p.m. Jan. 26. Person broke window of garage, stole three Honda dirt bikes.


Rossbrooke Circle and Breezy Hill Court, at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 28. Two men approached group, displayed black handgun, stole cash, wallet, cellphones.

Barrett's Delight Drive, 10400 block, between 9 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. Jan. 25. Man assaulted by acquaintance who hit him in back of head with keyes. Michael Anthony Holmes, 33, of the 800 block of Cinnamon Ridge Place, Cockeysville, arrested and charged with assault.
