Arrests made in weekend Towson University student robbery

Baltimore County Police on Friday announced a pair of arrests in relation to the Dec. 14 armed robbery of a Towson University student outside her apartment complex.

Police said Keddlar Purvey, 22, of the 800 block of Bradhurst Road and Darien Moss, 21 of the 800 block of Benninghaus Road, were arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, and related charges.

According to police, the student, a 20-year-old woman, was sitting in her car outside her apartment building in the 200 block of Garden Road of Towson when a man approached her and pointed a gun at her.

The man ordered her to give him her belongings, and the woman gave him her purse and her roommate’s purse, both of which contained cell phones, police said.

Police said detectives found the Purvey and Moss when they learned the pair sold the cell phones in the Eco ATM inside the Towson Town Center mall. The Eco ATM provides cash to users who deposit cell phones.

Purvey was arrested on Dec. 19, police said, and is being held at Baltimore County Detention Center on $35,000 bail. Moss, who was arrested on Dec. 17, was released after posting $75,000 bail, police said.
