Brightview Towson officially opens new assisted living center

Company representatives, elected officials, family members and residents gathered last week for the official opening of the new Brightview Towson senior living center.

The event, attended by County Councilman David Marks and Brightview President Marilynn Duker, included tours of the Burke Avenue facility.

Brightview includes 56 assisted living apartments, a 22-apartment center for those who need dementia care, and a 12-apartment section for people who need more intensive attention.

"We serve seniors in 22 communities, and eight in Maryland, but I never fail to be deeply touched when it all comes together and a vibrant community comes alive," said Duker. "The people who live and work here make it a special place, but it takes hundreds of people working collaboratively to bring it about."
