Baltimore County school board explores new meeting location

Baltimore County’s Board of Education is seeking residents’ input on a consideration that would move the board’s meetings from its current location at the BCPS Greenwood Campus to the Jefferson Building in downtown Towson.

On Monday, hundreds of BCPS employees moved from their old offices at the Greenwood campus, located on North Charles Street in Towson, into the Jefferson Building on West Chesapeake Avenue as part of a $1.5 million savings measure aimed to create more efficiency between county government and the schools.

Now that so much of the BCPS staff is located downtown, the board is exploring the possibility of moving its meetings to the Jefferson Building after July 1.

BCPS asks all parents, teachers, administrators, and interested community members to share their thoughts by completing this survey by March 15.
