An 18-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint while jogging Tuesday night in West Towson, according to Baltimore County Police.
According to police, the woman was jogging in the area of West Chesapeake Avenue and Burnbrae Road at 9:30 p.m. when two men in an older, dark blue or black sedan, drove up alongside her.
A man got out of the passenger seat, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the girl, and demanded her white iPod Touch.
Police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said Thursday that the woman hesitated, and the man repeated himself before grabbing the iPod from her hand. The woman then ran back to her house to report the incident.
As a result of the armed robbery, Councilman David Marks, who represents the 5th District including Towson, said he's been told by the police that they will increase patrols in the area.
