Balto. Co. schools cancel Tuesday evening high school classes due to ice threat

Baltimore County Public School officials have canceled evening classes Tuesday because of the threat of winter weather, according to the school system's website.

All other afternoon and evening activities are still being held, school officials said.

The National Weather Service's latest forecast for Baltimore County calls for freezing rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with a freezing rain advisory in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Though no snow is expected, the sleet and freezing rain could cause roads to freeze.
