Frank Bramble, Class of 1966, was named interim president of Calvert Hall College High School on Thursday afternoon.
The announcement came in a press release by email a week after Brother Thomas Zoppo left the school after a four-year tenure, citing "personal and professional" reasons.
Bramble will begin his new role July 1.
He has been very active in alumni affairs at his alma mater, serving on the school's board of trustee while simultaneously rising through the ranks of the banking industry.
Bramble currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bank of America Corporation and is a retired Vice-Chairman of MBNA. Additionally, he is very active in the Archdiocese of Baltimore serving on various boards and committees.
"The board of trustees enthusiastically welcomes Frank back to the school to assist during this transition and appreciates his willingness to serve. We are fortunate to have someone of Frank's character, experience, and expertise to lead the institution at this time," said Stephen Budosh, chairman of the school's board of trustees, in the press release.
Bramble played basketball for four years for the Cardinals and is also a member of the school's Alumni Hall of Fame.
Bramble, who is vacationing in Europe, was unavailable for comment.
