Four people were injured in a three-vehicle accident in Towson Thursday afternoon after a state police trooper attempted to stop a driver for a traffic violation, a spokesman said.
The trooper tried to pull a vehicle over at Goucher and Fairmont avenues around 2:30 p.m., when the driver pulled away. The driver fled and ran a red light, striking a vehicle turning left onto Prince Road about a mile away, said Sgt. Marc Black, a state police spokesman. The fleeing driver's car then struck a second vehicle.
Four people were hospitalized.
Black could not say why the vehicle was stopped or what led the driver to flee. He said traffic charges are pending against the driver.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
