Known as the "The Sarong Girl," actress Dorothy Lamour (1914-1996) was most famous for starring alongside Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in a series of "Road to..." movies (beginning with 1940's "Road to Singapore"). She lived in Towson with her husband, Baltimorean Bill Howard, in the 1960s and 1970s.
