Conrad’s Seafood Restaurant officially opened its new location in Perry Hall last week. To mark the event, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on with a group of about 20 people as well as owners and staff.
During the brief ceremony County Councilman David Marks, who represents Perry Hall and Towson, presented a council resolution to owners Michael Lancelotta, Joseph Lancelotta, Anthony Conrad and Andrea Conrad.
"Not only will this restaurant will add to the diversity of dining in the Perry Hall area, but it's a hometown choice -- and not just part of a national chain," Marks said.
The councilman also noted the renovation that the restaurant was undergone, saying, "I would like to congratulate the Conrad family for its amazing transformation of the structure that has stood here for more than a century."
Conrad’s Seafood Restaurant opened in the former location of Surf City. Not only does the Perry Hall restaurant have menu items from the former location, but it also features an oyster bar and space for crab feasts. The restaurant will employ 60 people.
