A county employee found skeletal remains near Overlea High School on Monday afternoon, according to Baltimore County police.

The remains were discovered at 1:26 p.m. in a wooded area near the school, on Kenwood Avenue, police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter said. He said officials from the medical examiner's office removed the remains and will work to determine the person's identity.

County homicide detectives were called to the scene.

Anyone with information about the remains is asked to call county police at 410-307-2020.
