Residents of Jacksonville's Sunnybrook community are urged to boil their tap water between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15, Baltimore County Public Works spokesman David Fidler said in a statement this week.
Fidler said that beginning Monday, Feb. 11, contractors will inspect and upgrade the community's well-fed water system, which serves 108 houses and is maintained by the county.
"During structural repairs to the system’s storage tanks, and while the tanks are off-line, water pressure may drop which could increase the risk of contaminants," Fidler wrote "To avoid any risk, engineers from the Department of Public Works advise Sunnybrook residents to boil water that may be used for drinking, cooking, making ice or brushing teeth for five days beginning Monday, Feb. 11."
