Woman kidnapped in city abandoned in Fallston

Baltimore City Police have assumed control of an investigation into the alleged kidnapping and assault of a homeless woman who was left last week by her captors at the corner of Hydes Road and Long Green Pike in Fallston.

According to Baltimore County Police, who filed the initial report, the woman was walking on Wilkins Avenue in Baltimore City at 9 a.m. on June 11 when the incident occurred.

Det. Jeremy Silbert of the Baltimore City Police Department said the woman was forced into a vehicle unknown to her, tied up, and assaulted.

A Baltimore County police report said the woman was stabbed in the leg and robbed of personal items including a cell phone and wallet.

The woman flagged down police in Baltimore County to report the incident, Silbert said. According to Baltimore County Police, the woman was transported to GBMC, where Silbert said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Silbert said Monday that the investigation is ongoing.
