Hereford (62.50), Franklin (55), New Town (43), Catonsville and Milford Mills (tie-30).

“We had a very strong cross country team and that powered showed on the track,” Dulaney coach Chad Boyle said.

Walz won the 3,200 and teammates Adolfo Carvalho (third) and Nick Bond (fourth) scored big for the Lions in the 1,600, while Andrew King (second) and Austin Carey (fourth) contributed in the 3,200 for the Lions.

Tionne Barmer was second in the 55 hurdles and Ben Huang was third in pole vault for the Lions.

“Tionne is one of the best hurdlers in the state,” Boyle said.

Western Tech’s Carrington Akosa is one of the top sprinters.

He captured the 300 meters and 55 dash in convincing fashion.

“The 300 has always been my best race, but the 55 is a short and sweet race,” said Akosa, who will run at Princeton University next year. “I’m happy with what happened here today.
