Varied fare at fairgrounds: German fest, Hidden Peak Cat Club show [Timonium]
Baltimore's best kept secret is its German heritage and it awaits you at the 113th annual German Festival being held at the Timonium Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 27. 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 28t, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy the music of local German bands, traditional folk dancing and choral singing. Also available are imported and local crafts, collectibles and, for children, wall climbing, a puppet show, face painting and crafts. Authentic German foods and drink also will be featured. And don't worry about the hot weather — the festival is held in the air-conditioned Exhibition Building. Parking is free. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and active military.
