Egg hunts are always popular with the little ones, and on the heels of its successful 'Breakfast With Santa' in December, the Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Council is sponsoring its first Easter egg hunt. The hunt is open to preschoolers through fifth-graders and will be held on the grounds of Ridgely Middle School Saturday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m. Should the weather not co-operate, the hunt will move into the gymnasium. Reservations are required and due March 15; consult the rec council's website at http://www.ltrc.org for registration forms and additional information.
Last week's snow event resulted in quite a few events being canceled or postponed. One of them was the Longford Community Association meeting. It has been rescheduled to tonight, March 13, at 7p.m. at Hunt's Church on Joppa Road.
It must be the time for our community associations to host their general meetings. Orchard Hills' has planned its meeting for Tuesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company's third floor meeting room. Julie Gleeson will be the guest speaker and will talk on fitness and nutrition, offering tips and information. In addition, there will be a brief business meeting to elect officers and the board of directors for the year.
Basket bingo aficionados will want to mark their calendars now for the Lutherville Community Association's Basket Bingo April 5 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church's Spangler Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m., with bingo beginning at 7 p.m. To reserve and purchase tickets in advance contact Sharyn Grove firstname.lastname@example.org or Sara Brown at 410.823.6521 or MDBasket@aol.com. Food will be available for sale from Chick-fil-A, along with desserts and other snacks.
If you have a teenager looking for a job this spring, the Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Council has openings for part-time staff for the spring season. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and available to work weeknights and weekends. My son worked for the rec council at several of the sports fields when he was in high school, and it worked out well for him, and us. Contact the L.T.R.C. office at 410-887-7684, or email email@example.com.
I'm gathering info on our local Easter Egg Hunts, yard sales and other events, so be sure to call or email me and give me the scoop on your event so I can share it with your neighbors.
