Man arrested in Middle River homicide, had active warrant for attempted murder

Baltimore County police have charged a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a man in Middle River earlier this week, though officials said the motive remains unclear.

Nakell Brian Harris, 22, of Baltimore, was charged with first-degree murder on Friday and is being held without bail. Court records show he was being sought on a Baltimore police warrant issued May 11 for attempted first-degree murder and other charges at the time of his arrest Friday. It was not immediately clear if the cases were related.

No attorney was listed for Harris in court records.

On Monday night, police found Jason Michael Durham, 32, of Perry Hall, with multiple stab wounds in the unit block of Volz Ave. More details on the circumstances on the crime were not provided. Police said Harris stabbed Durham amid a fight, but what led to the encounter was unknown.
