Baltimore County police arrested and charged a 17-year-old from Dundalk in a non-fatal shooting at a playground near his home on Tuesday.

Officers were called at 10:47 p.m. to a playground in the 600 block of N. Avondale Road, where a 21-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said Raquan Smith got into a physical fight with one of the victim's friends before leaving the area and returning with a handgun. He fired at the four people, hitting a 21-year-old, who was taken to a local hospital, where he was later treated and released.

Smith, of the 600 block of S. Avondale Road, is charged with attempted four counts of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and use of a handgun in commission of a felony. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
