A man was cut with a machete in Edgemere and another shot after being robbed in Dundalk on Friday, Baltimore County police said.
The man who was injured in the machete attack is expected to survive but police said he had a "severe injury" to his arm and was taken to a hospital for treatment and surgery. Police said the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. in the parking lot of a Food Lion in the 7500 block of North Point Road. Two men were arrested and charged with first degree assault in connection with the attack, though they were not identified by police pending a bail hearing Saturday afternoon.
Around 11:20 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint of his cellphone and wallet in the 8000 block of Eastdale Road in Dundalk, according to police. The male suspect shot the victim once in the lower part of the body after robbing him, then ran away. Police did not release a suspect description.
