A burglar stole a truck and used it to take 2,142 cases of cognac last Sunday from a business in Dundalk, Baltimore County Police said.
At around 5 a.m. March 16, someone entered a fenced-in lot in the 7000 block of Quad Avenue through an unlocked employee entrance and took the truck, according to a police report. The person then hooked up the truck to a chassis that was carrying a cargo container, which was filled with the cases of cognac.
The burglar fled the scene westbound on Quad Avenue.

Melbourne Road, 1700 block, between 4 p.m. March 7 and 4:42 p.m. March 14. A lawn mower and weed trimmer were stolen from a shed at a residence.
Dunwall Court, 2700 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 14. Cash, electronic equipment, a game system and videotapes were stolen from a residence.
Collingham Drive, 7800 block, between 10 p.m. and 10:26 p.m. March 14. A resident barricaded himself in a room at home when he saw someone break in. The suspect was gone by the time police arrived.
Pinewood Road, 200 block, between 6 p.m. March 14 and 10 a.m. March 15. A bike was stolen from a front porch.
McShane Way, 3400 block, between 8 p.m. and 10:59 p.m. March 13. A pet dog was stolen from the back yard of a residence.
North Point, 4300 block, between 11:30 a.m. March 9 and 6:08 p.m. March 15. Three people entered a home, pushed a resident to the floor and stole cash and other items from the victim's pockets. They then fled the scene.
Beachwood Road, 8200 block, between 11:49 p.m. March 9 and 12:44 a.m. March 10. Construction material and five cameras were stolen from a business. Three people had entered though a hold in the fence.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
