Shortly before 1 p.m. on Aug. 8, Baltimore County Police responded a report of a stabbing in the Paradise community of Catonsville.
Police identified the victim as Misty Lee Call, 36, of the unit block of North Prospect Avenue, said Baltimore County Police Spokeswoman Elise Armacost.
"The investigation showed that she had been involved in a domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend, I believe that's the relationship, and she ran to the neighbor's house for help," Armacost said. " He followed her there and stabbed her."
Armacost said police found the woman suffering from a stab wound to the back of the head.
"She was transported to [University of Maryland] Shock Trauma [Center]. She was in stable condition at the time of the transport and she has survived the injury," Armacost said on Aug. 12.
Police arrested 62-year-old Robert Thompson, also of the unit block of North Prospect Avenue, and charged him with attempted first degree murder, first-degree assault, use of a handgun to commit a felony and kidnapping.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
