Archbishop Curley High School honors Catonsville resident

Catonsville resident Matt Avara was among the members of the Class of 2013 at Archbishop Curley High School who were honored during the school's 49th commencement exercises at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. 

Avara was recognized for having the second highest four-year average in the senior class. 

A performer in Blackfriars' Theatre and member of the Curley Choir and the National Honor Society, Avara is a member of St. Mark's parish in Catonsville.

He will attend Wake Forest University in the fall.

Avara was one of 123 graduates who received their diplomas during the May 31 ceremony.
